Seal Washer (Type WD) (CW)
NOK seal washers prevent fluids such as oil from leaking from threads including bolts and flanges in various machines such as automobiles, hydraulic and hydraulic machines, construction/agricultural/transportation machines and prevent the intrusion of water, dust, etc.
[Features]

Precautions When Using NOK Seal Washers
1. Machining of the Tightening Bearing Surface: WD Type
Tightening bearing surface
·Chamfer the entrance of the female thread. The required size of the chamfer depends on the size of the seal washer. Please refer to the values shown in the dimension table.
·The inner diameter of the rubber section of type WD sealing is the same as the bolt diameter, so there is a risk of scratching the rubber section when a bolt is passed through the seal washer. Therefore, be sure to chamfer the end of bolts.
2. Due to the mechanism of a seal washer, the sealing effect of a washer that is once mounted will be greatly reduced when reassembled, so the manufacturers recommends replacing it with a new one. In particular, the type WD has a mechanism that seals due to large deformation of the rubber section, so please do not reuse it.
3. The ring of type WD seal washer may deform if excessive tightening torque is applied. In addition, the manufacturer recommends using a spring lock washer in combination to add a loose-fitting effect.
4. In order to prevent damage on the rubber section by threads of a bolt, pass the bolt through the seal washer before tightening.
5. The manufacturer recommends retightening of bolts at a proper time after assembly to prevent the tightening torque from decreasing and to improve the sealing performance.
6. When using for light alloy sections, the type WD may damage the mating surface with the metal washer, so the manufacturer recommends using the type WF.
