The proximity sensor (switch), Sensor Cables is a device that can sense the approach of an object. By utilizing the sensitive feature of the displacement sensor, it can identify the approach of an object without any contact, then convert it into an electrical signal output. MISUMI Economy series proximity sensors (switches) are divided into two types by shape:
1.Outlet-type proximity sensor (switch): Equipped with the signal output cable;
2.Connector-type (plug-in type) proximity sensor (switch): Equipped with the M8/M12 connector, and the output Sensor Cables can be extended by plugging in the M8/M12 connecting cable. This series of products are extension cables connecting M8/M12 for the connector-type (plug-in) proximity sensor (switch).

Answer: A proximity sensor switch is a general word for sensors that are designed to detect without contacting the detecting object and replace contact detection methods such as limit switches. It has the ability to convert the observed object's movement and presence information into electrical impulses.
Question: Can the connection cable for the proximity sensor switch be connected to any sensor and extended?
Answer: No. In addition to matching connectors, the connection cable for the proximity sensor switch must be connected to the plug-in proximity switch. The non plug-in proximity switch does not have corresponding connector and cannot be connected and plugged in.
