Shims

Shim is a general term for various parts that adjust the gap and position of equipment. There are types such as shim tape, shim plate and shim ring. The material is metal such as stainless steel, copper and brass. Shim tape is used to adjust for errors that occur during machine processing. Since it is made in a tape shape, it can be used by cutting into the required length. A shim plate is a plate used to fill the gaps created when building a machine. There are various shapes from soft to hard. The shim ring has a thin ring shape and is used for adjusting bearings and adjusting screw clearances. It is characterized by being made in various thicknesses from 0.01 mm. You need to select a shim for your application.
