Chains, Sprockets

Drive chains are parts used to transmit torque generated by a power source to other machinery or parts. They are usually used in combination with geared machinery called sprockets. They are widely used by industrial machinery and many other types of equipment with engines or motors. The types of drive chains available include standard chains, lubrication-free chains not requiring lubricating oil, and highly rust-resistant stainless steel chains. Chain accessories include joint links and offset links. Sprocket types include Type A (consisting of the gear only), Type B (with a hub on one side only), Type C (with hubs on both sides) and Type SD (incorporating 2 parallel gears). Associated products used together with chains include chain guides that prevent chain slackness, and chain guides designed to enable transmission with low dust or noise.
