Safety Valves, Control Valves

Safety valves and regulator valves are valves installed in equipment such as lines. They are used to regulate air, water, steam or other media. They also prevent damage to lines or other equipment. They are used for hydraulic containers, pressure-reducing valve secondary sides, plant equipment and other pilot solenoid valves, and water supply lines for large water tanks. Safety valves are crucial components in reciprocating displacement pumps, which are prone to pressure overload. Safety valves and regulator valves come in varieties such as pressure-reducing valves (for steam), safety relief valves, pressure-reducing valves for waterworks and air vent valves. They are made of materials such as stainless steel, cast iron and resin. Installing a safety valve at a poor location creates the risk of generating a dead-end shutoff pressure that will blow the safety valve at the secondary side of the pressure-reducing valve and cause the valve to operate when conditions are normal. When mounting safety valves, installing them at the correct positions for the operating environment is important.
