Electrode Wires

Electrode wires are parts used as electrodes in electric discharge machines. The object to be processed is melted and cut by discharging electrode wires. The downside of electric discharge machining is that it has a slower processing speed than cutting. On the other hand, it had the advantage of cutting using electricity as a medium, so hard metals such as carbide can be processed regardless of the type of workpiece. Wire diameter is determined by workpiece shape, thickness, and the like, but 0.2 to 0.3 mm wire is generally used. The most popular wire material is mixed copper and zinc type called brass. They are products wound on bobbins, but "winding curls" form if left unused for a long period of time, and there is a risk of automatic connection and disconnection. Using promptly after purchase is recommended.
