Drill Gauges

Drill point gauges are tools that measure the angle and length of the cutting edge of a drill. When sharpening a worn drill, they are used to measure the angle of the tip, the degree of eccentricity of the cutting edge (chisel edge) at the center, the lip height, etc. There are various types such as a type that measures the angle of the cutting edge by moving the slider scale up and down, a type that measures the angle of the cutting edge from the side of the shank and the long side of the gauge, and a type that sets the measurement angle using a rotor. All types are small, lightweight, and easy to handle, and some are provided with a ball chain that is convenient for carrying around. Most drill point gauges are made of metal such as stainless steel, and some can be used as a gauge to check the tip angle of the work material. The size of the drill that can be measured differs depending on the product, so it is necessary to confirm in advance.
